Today we went to the Presidential Office Open House in the afternoon. It was pouring with rain when we left the Activity Centre, but we were soon dry, and it was really rather wonderful to splash and slosh our way through such a generous quantity of water.
The Presidential Building was forbidding from the outside.
Sun Yat-sen's bust has been returned to the niche at the top of the stairs. The previous president had the bust removed and replaced with a pot plant.
Cardboard figures of the president and Vice-president stand in the reception hall ready to pose with visitors. Today there were not many guests--perhaps because of the rain.
There are some splendid rooms on the third floor.
I have more to say, but blogger won't upload the photos, so please await the update!
